Privacy Policy — Backseat Games
Last updated: July 2026
Backseat Games ("the app") is a family road-trip game app published by Homol Works. This policy describes what data the app uses on your device and what briefly passes through our multiplayer relay.
Summary
- No accounts — we do not collect names, emails, or Apple IDs in a user database.
- No analytics or ads in the current release.
- Multiplayer — phones connect via a short-lived online relay using a join code (or play Solo Mode offline without a lobby).
- Relay data — display names and game state pass through our relay only while a room is active (about 4 hours max); we do not store them long-term.
- On-device storage — player name, game preferences, win/loss stats, and purchase entitlement cache stay on your device.
- Microphone — used only when you use optional voice input in the Sign Game; audio stays on device during the session.
- In-app purchase — Apple processes the one-time host unlock; we do not receive your payment details.

Children's privacy
The app is designed for family use. Multiplayer uses a short-lived relay for join codes; we do not build profiles of children from that traffic.
